Since Jan 2021, Francesca has been responsible for the research activities at SmarTerp—an innovative remote simultaneous interpreting platform with an integrated computer-assisted interpreting (CAI) tool.
Within the TerpSummit, Francesca gave a presentation on the pivotal role of research in the development of interpreter-centred digital solutions. She also contributed an introductory workshop on SmarTerp’s ASR- and AI-powered CAI tool.
