In cooperation with the German Association of Conference Interpreters (VKD im BDÜ e.V.), the German Association of Translators and Interpreters (BDÜ e.V.) organised the fourth installment of its online seminar series The Zukunft ist jetzt – The future is now.
At the meeting, which was dedicated to the new technologies in the interpreting field and took place on 8 Jan 2022, Bianca was invited to deliver a presentation on AI, automatic speech recognition (ASR) and computer-assisted interpreting, and to discuss the state of the art in the field of interpreting technologies.
The webinar also saw the participation of Felix Schneider, who presented his MA research project on the ASR of numbers, and Nora Brüsewitz, who discussed automatic subtitling and also addressed ethics in AI in an interview.
